why didnt somebody tell me about "defragmentation"??

2002-12-26 - 9:10 p.m.

today i attempted to "defragment" my hard drive...by "attempt" i mean speand 8 hours doin it..but gave up when it was only 70% done...apparently this should be done more than once in two years...cuz when i actually LOOKED at how the data was arranged on my drive..it looked WAY past fragmented..it looked like a small bomb went off...but somebody glued all of it back together with crazy glue...so when i go to sleep..i think i'll let it finish during the night...but somethin tells me i wont be surprised when i wake up to find it still struggling thru the little mess of blue, grey and dark grey blocks...kinda like preschool...but with my fuckin hard drive!! arrghh...now i might do this once a month now...heh..whoops!

Christmas was cool...small gathering of my immediate family...which was a nice change...seein as how our tradition is "one person one gift at a time"...and with my family...grandparents..aunts..uncles and cousins..it could be a LONNGG drawn out process...but this year..it was me, mom, dad, nate and brian...so our theme THIS year was...LAST ONE DONE IS A ROTTEN EGG!!...brian was the last one done...not so much because he was slow..but because he is the little charmer and got gifts from everybody under the sun...and probably from people under the moon...THEN he went to spend a few holidaze with his mom where he's gonna get MORE loot...makes me wonder..did I get this much love and affection as a kid? probably so...its why im such a cool person now..HAHAHA..ok..must get back to watchin CSI...i love CSI...PEESH!!
